Organizational Structure:

IDA comprises of a General Body, consisting of 560 members (including 405 women), a Board of Directors (BOD), consisting of 5 members (including 3 women), and an Executive Committee of 7 members (including 5 women). The General Body includes both permanent and temporary volunteer members, with varying numbers. After every three years, the permanent members elect members of the BOD. The BOD frames policy guidelines for the organization, selects the executive committee and provides organizational oversight. The executive committee runs the day-to-day affairs of IDA.
The Executive Committee of 7 members (including 5 women) includes director, administrative and finance officers. IDA has 9 full time staff members, including 5 women, and a male Legal Advisor.  In addition 40 volunteers (including 25 women) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) are actively supporting IDA on full and part time basis. The executive committee is the management committee of the organization which runs day-to-day affairs of the organization.
